It's been awhile since my last blog post and to be honest, not much has changed. Between school, work and consistently traveling between Oakville and London I haven't had much time to progress my business goals. On the upside I have been doing a lot of networking in my hometown and some great job opportunities have risen for the summer!  

i'll be looking forward to working for the summer. As much as I enjoy school I really do prefer the simplicity of summer. I can't wait to just work and further my business goals. I have a long road to go down, and sometimes I feel like school is almost holding me back. I really don't mean to sound arrogant, by all means I am no A+ student. But my brain works best when I find something i'm interested in. I'd like to work harder at school but I just don't have the drive like my peers do.. Most of the time i'm in class I day dream about my ideas for the future and think about other things i'll work hard towards once I have my diploma. Just to make things clear, I don't take college for granted. I appreciate the opportunity of it everyday. Maybe I should spend more time studying and less time day dreaming.



Some goals I have for the next month consist of:

• Making my monthly budget stricter
• Continue to save more then spend
• Pass all of my classes 
• Actually pay attention in class 
• Start, legitimize and promote  this fucking business already.

Since my last post I have done a little bit of work on my logo. None of my rough's are set in stone and ill be making changes on the title.

 Changes:   

After some thought I decided the name "Inner City" is kind of questionable name and the logo is a bit flashy.  I want a more modest and professional look that is still fun and would cater to a younger crowd.

Plan:
I'll be making a few minor changes to the logo over the next few days. I'll be posting updates soon.

In my last post I talked about what direction I was heading going into college and the goals I have for the future. After procrastinating for a couple of months on the idea of creating a multimedia promotion company i'm back on track. 

The past few months I felt lost about pursuing my business goals. I was unmotivated and lingering on all of the challenges that lay ahead in the long road ahead of me. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get back on the horse and keep fighting towards my goal. I talked to a couple of business owners and started getting advice on where to start. I started working on a finance plan and starting up separate bank account. I'm also working on a brand name and logo with a artist in the creative advertising department at OCAD. I will hopefully run it by a lawyer in the next few weeks and see if it's available. I'll post some of the logo ideas in my next blog post. 

It feels good to be this motivated again.

I’m currently starting my third semester in the Advertising and Marketing program at Sheridan College. Prior to taking this program I was enrolled in Media Fundamentals, which is also offered at Sheridan. When I first enrolled in Advertising & Marketing I was unsure on what to pursue after graduation. I've always had a strong ambition to be self-employed and enjoy exploring creative ideas. Over the past 2 years I have had the opportunity to work social media marketing and promotional videography/photography jobs for night clubs and bars in London. The company’s I worked with were inspiring and I eventually found what I was always looking for.  

The goal is to eventually develop a multimedia promotion company for independent businesses. This would include social media marketing, web design, print/graphic media and photography. It would be media contract work and I would be consulting the price to business owners and employ people for individual work.
